In the latest bizarre twist in Edward Snowden's journey to anywhere that will take him, a plane carrying Bolivian president Evo Morales was diverted to Austria this evening after France and Portugal denied it access to their airspace because Snowden was suspected of being on board. The plane was headed back to Bolivia from Moscow, where, during a visit over the weekend, Morales expressed interest in granting Snowden asylum.
Bolivia's foreign minister is denying the accusation. "We don't know who invented this lie. We want to denounce to the international community this injustice with the plane of President Evo Morales," he said.
Is this real life?
