Police say they’ve arrested the man who had been going around Prospect Park with an aggressive, off-leash pit bull and stabbing or beating dogs who tangled with his. They apprehended Donnell Barden, 42, at 15th Street and West Drive, when fellow park patrons pointed him out, the New York Daily News reports. Barden, who once pleaded guilty to attempted murder, will be charged with “aggravated animal cruelty, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon, a small knife.” His unfortunate dog has been sent to Animal Care and Control.
