Is that the worst collection of words in the English language? Maybe! But it’s true: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, whose stay in London’s Ecuadorian embassy makes Edward Snowden’s airport sleepover look like a bed-and-breakfast weekend, is killing time by appearing on YouTube in a mullet wig. The appearance comes courtesy of Juice Rap News, which self-describes as “the internet nation’s off-beat musical, current-affairs programme, responsible for turning bollocks-news into socio-poetic/comedic analyses which everyone can relate to and understand.” That might actually be a worse collection of words.
Assange, never one to shun the spotlight, appears for the power-ballad bridge of the “rap song” looking like he’s in a karaoke video. “Oh, we’re all wire-tapped now, we’re all being fed lies,” he lip-synches.
