In a rare interview this weekend, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said she has no intention of stepping down during President Obama’s term to increase the chances that she’ll be replaced by another liberal. “There will be a president after this one, and I’m hopeful that that president will be a fine president,” she told the New York Times. The 80-year-old justice said her ability to do the job, not who’s in office, will determine when she retires. Despite two bouts with cancer, she’s currently in good health, but she has made some small adjustments due to her age. “I don’t water-ski anymore,” she explained. “I haven’t gone horseback riding in four years. I haven’t ruled that out entirely. But water-skiing, those days are over.”
