On the great issue of our time — the legality of stoop drinking — all of the Democratic mayoral candidates at tonight's debate agreed: Stoop drinking is awesome. (Erick Salgado said something that sounded like "no beer at all" and we don't even know what that means so we're just ignoring him.) Anthony Weiner even went one step (ha?) further, declaring his support for beach drinking and park drinking in addition to stoop drinking. But the important thing here is that the stoop drinking movement increasingly enjoys broader and broader support among the city's political elite. The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward stoop drinking.
