The worst company in the world has done another annoying thing: Unable to settle a fee dispute with CBS, Time Warner Cable dropped the network in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, and elsewhere at 5 p.m. this afternoon, leaving millions of elderly Americans without their favorite crime procedurals about detectives who talk to the dead or detectives who are themselves dead.
More worryingly for people under 60, Time Warner also stopped carrying Showtime, but the Showtime demographic can probably figure out how to find all that stuff online. As for CBS watchers, they will finally have to crack open those crossword puzzle books their grandchildren bought for them during their last hospital stay.
