The latest poll by Quinnipiac, which showed Eliot Spitzer and Scott Stringer in a dead heat last week, now has Stringer leading 47 percent to 45 percent, within the 3.6 percent margin of error. With the Democratic primary less than a week away, Spitzer is hanging on to a 61–32 percent lead among black voters, while Stringer carries whites 60–36 percent. Be sure to vote on Tuesday if you care about who becomes comptroller!
