Now that Tina Brown is going to be leaving Newsweek, The Daily Beast, and magazine journalism in general, she’ll finally have time to write that memoir she’s clearly been planning. “Ms. Brown said that she had kept detailed notes throughout her working life and intends to write a wide-ranging memoir,” the New York Times reports, citing an interview with Brown. The book, to be called Media Beast, is due out in early 2016 from Metropolitan Books, an imprint of Henry Holt and Company. She’s returning to a familiar relationship with Stephen Rubin, the president of Holt, with whom she worked on her last book, The Diana Chronicles. After more than 30 years in the business, Brown told the Times, “I had such a fantastic time in the magazine world at its very height … I always have somehow had the opportunity to take over some fantastic titles.”
