In case leaking the script and a wordy e-mail to star Benedict Cumberbatch isn’t enough to discredit The Fifth Estate, Julian Assange is trying a different strategy. In a Skype interview with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association over the weekend, the WikiLeaks founder declared the film “is destined to be a box-office failure” because audiences prefer “combative underdog” stories. When asked if he likes any movies he’s seen recently, he mentioned There Will Be Blood, saying “That’s a good film.” So that’s a good DVD to watch next weekend while you’re sitting home, trying to resist the call of Cumberbatch.
