The story about a group of motorcycle riders who chased and then beat the driver of an SUV after he ran one of them over when they stopped him on the West Side Highway became national news thanks to a video of the chase one of the riders shot. But until Tuesday, no video of the actual beating had been released to the public. Now that the video is out there, you can see riders pulling the driver (identified as 33-year-old Alexian Lien) out of the car and stomping and beating him on the ground.
The beating goes remarkably quickly in the video, and it's hard to identify anybody. But WABC, which obtained the footage, does offer a rundown of those thought to be involved. They don't include the police officer arrested, though. Det. Wojciech Braszczok is thought to have broken one of the car's windows. Braszczok has said he wouldn't testify before a grand jury in the case, claiming evidence showed he didn't attack Lien. Someone sure did, though, as the latest video clearly shows.
