Soon You May Have to Be 21 to Buy E-Cigarettes in New York City


The plan to make New York realtors hide the cigarettes didn't work out the way Mayor Bloomberg had hoped, as the City Council took the requirement out of an anti-tobacco bill he floated earlier this year. But on Tuesday it added a stipulation that would make the crackdown even more expansive: The latest version of the bill raises the age to buy not just cigarettes but e-cigarettes as well, to 21 from 18.
