"Some wounds won't heal. Your prayers and your friendship are important to me," he added. Twenty-four-year-old Gus Deeds committed suicide with a rifle after attacking his father on Tuesday. The day prior, after an emergency mental-health evaluation, Gus was released from custody because there was no vacant psychiatric bed available for him in the area.
