That’s the rumor, per Politicker, which rounded up some of the insider chatter about Bill de Blasio’s upcoming raft of appointments. “One of Mr. de Blasio’s earliest and most vocal campaign supporters,” Nixon is reportedly in the running to head up the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs. Her competitor is apparently Randall Bourscheidt, president of the Alliance for the Arts and a former deputy commissioner. We can’t wait to read the bureaucratic Sex and the City fan fiction if Miranda gets it.
