For the last week or so, Representative Ted Yoho has been making noise about trying to impeach Eric Holder, and on Thursday, the Florida Republican and a group of ten other representatives plan to introduce articles of impeachment against him in the House. But Holder isn't going anywhere. According to Politico, "there is no sign yet that Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) or other House GOP leaders will act on the measure." And even if they do, and it passes the Republican-dominated House, there's no way such a resolution would pass in the Democrat-controlled Senate, "which would have to hold a trial to remove Holder," Reuters notes.

Yoho and co. say Holder violated federal law by not handing over documents related to the Fast and Furious case. He also did not enforce same-sex marriage or mandatory minimums for drug offenders, didn't prosecute the IRS over its targeting of non-profits, and lied to Congress about a Justice Department investigation into Fox News reporter James Rosen, his accusers say. Quipped former Holder aide Matthew Miller: "I can’t believe they didn’t include Benghazi and the Black Panthers because this is a list of every other Republican bugaboo and conspiracy theory."
