Coming in just under the wire, a strong contender for the award for the year’s most badass break-in took place overnight in Coney Island, where someone broke through the wall of the Best Buy there, stole a bunch of iPads and GPS devices, then apparently escaped by boat, via a water channel immediately behind the store. The New York Daily News is already going with “Hole in the Wall Gang,” and the Post has dubbed the thieves “pirates.” It’s tabloid gold.
