In an interview with Megyn Kelly, former Fox News superstar Glenn Beck said that he regretted some of his 2009–2011 tenure at the network, which was frequently characterized by fear-mongering, race-baiting, conspiracy-theory-spreading, and general wackiness. “I remember it as an awful lot of fun and that I made an awful lot of mistakes. I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart,” said Beck, whose particular brand of divisiveness landed him a $100 million radio deal after he left Fox. He added that he wishes he had been more “uniting” in his language. “I thought we were kind of a little more in it together,” he explained, perhaps inadvertently revealing that he’s been a secret Communist all along.
