The infamous Ponzi schemer is back in his medium-security North Carolina prison after receiving treatment at Duke University Medical Center for a heart attack last month, CNBC reports. Madoff is said to have stage-four kidney disease, which can cause cardiovascular problems (among other things) and usually needs to be treated with dialysis or a transplant, though the 75-year-old says he’s not receiving dialysis rightnow.
