As Russia prepares to host the world for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Vladimir Putin and his goons can’t stop talking about homosexuality. Following the Russian president’s defense of the country’s new “propaganda and pedophilia” law — “leave children alone, please,” he said — Sochi mayor Anatoly Pakhomov has insisted, “We do not have them in our city.” Pressed on the unlikely, Ahmadinejad-ian statement, Pakhomov admitted, “I am not sure, but I don’t bloody know them.”
“As far as I know there are several gay clubs in Sochi,” an opposition leader noted. “How do they survive? Why they are not bankrupt?” Totally straight curiosity, probably.
