Patrick Stewart Was Pretty Funny About The Guardian Misidentifying Him As Gay

In an op-ed about actress Ellen Page’s coming-out on Friday, Guardian contributor Jane Czyzselska made a cringe-worthy error, when she cited Sir Patrick Stewart as a gay actor who publicly supported the move. Stewart, while a gay rights advocate like his best friend (and actual gay person) Ian McKellen, is straight himself. So The Guardian had to issue this face-palm of a correction:

Stewart, however, was funny about it on Twitter, as is his wont.
