I love you! I’m so excited to see you!” shouted Fox’s Erin Andrews to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen last night on the red carpet at the Shape and Men’s Fitness Super Bowl Kickoff at Cipriani 42nd Street, before turning to us and stating: “I’m cutting it off after tonight.” Andrews said she was there to support her close friend John Legend, who would be playing at the party (unlikely pre-game music, but hey, we’ll take it), along with Mary J. Blige and Marc Anthony. She said she’s been studying hard for her Super Bowl sideline reporting, and when we asked whether her job would be more fun if more players were as candid as Richard Sherman after the Seahawks beat the 49ers last week, she was emphatic: “Yeah! Keep us on our toes. That was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever had happen.”

Meanwhile, a throng of red-carpet reporters had surrounded Andrews’s friend Chrissy Teigen. “They’re asking what I’m wearing for game day!” Teigen shouted to Andrews. “Her nickname is Terry because she’s always in a terrycloth bathrobe or towel,” Andrews shouted back. Teigen said a terrycloth ensemble may indeed be in the cards Sunday, as she and Legend are having a house party, with Roblé Ali (who Teigen met when she appeared on his show) doing the cooking. More importantly, there will be a Frito pie bar. “Imagine Frito pie straight out of the bag, but they created this amazing Frito pie bar, so you can make your own Frito pie,” said Teigen. “It’s gonna be — I can’t wait. That’s what I’m most excited for because I have been on a bit of a Grammy diet and I’m ready to eat. I’m tired of this!” So who are they rooting for, aside from Frito pie, which obviously we all support? “Denver,” said Legend. “I love Peyton Manning.” Teigen nodded. “He’s not rooting for the Broncos,” she said. “He’s rooting for Peyton, cause he looooves Peyton.”

An enthusiastic majority of guests polled were also behind Manning and the Broncos, for varying reasons. (We overheard Harvey Weinsten say something about wearing a “Go Peyton” button, which we’d like to see.) Vernon Davis: “Because Seattle beat us in the playoffs.” Ice-T: “I’m not really rooting, but I think Denver is going to win.” Katherine Webb, who you may remember from this awkward brush with fame (now parlayed into red-carpet appearances), is going for a family values angle. “I love Peyton Manning,” she said. “And I love the Mannings as a family.” Other models rooting for the Broncos include Julie Henderson, Genevieve Morton, and Chanel Iman.

Terry Crews, grinning, said he was going to the game, but wasn’t worried about the cold. Though he wouldn’t bet on the outcome, he lit up when we asked if football would be more fun if more players talked shit like Richard Sherman. “Yeah!” he said. “You know what? This is the thing. It’s football! This is not golf. I mean, it’s not a tennis match. It’s football! You’re gonna hit somebody in the mouth! Passion takes over and you gotta do it. Most football players have to play with pain, they have to play through pain, and what are you gonna do? You can’t even come in there like lackadaisical, and try to do that. So, I love Richard Sherman,” said Crews. “Richard Sherman is my spirit animal. I’m for real.”
