Invitations to happy-hour receptions at the governor's mansion come so fast and so frequently ever since Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe moved in that some legislators find it hard to make time for them all, the Washington Post reported on Thursday. And the tippling options have improved. "To the discount hooch and Bud Light normally on tap at the mansion, the governor has added top-shelf liquor and microbrews at his own expense — a move made possible by his enormous personal wealth." Rich guys who love throwing parties do make for fun, if exhausting, social connections.
