Brooklyn High-Schoolers Forced to Spend the Night on Broken Bus in Florida

By

On Monday night, around 130 Fort Hamilton High School students had an impromptu sleepover (with chaperones) on the side of Interstate 4 when one of their charter buses stopped working on the way back from Disney World, where they had been participating in a competition for young musicians. Though the group had two other functioning buses, an adult decided it would be best for everyone to stick together for the 11 hours it took for a replacement vehicle to arrive. "As soon as it broke down, everything went off," on kid told ABC 7. "The AC went off, the bus broke down, the outlets went out, so you couldn't charge your phone to tell anybody anything. It was just terrible." At least they'll probably get today off.
