Four boys — a 17-year-old, two 14-year-olds, and a 12-year-old — were all shot by what seems to have been a single gunman near South 2nd Street and Roebling Street in Williamsburg at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. All of them sustained serious injuries to their legs. Two are being treated at Bellevue Hospital, while the others are at Kings County Hospital. A parent of one of the 14-year-olds told the New York Daily News that the attacker called out to the group before he began shooting, but the victims are reportedly keeping quiet about his identity: “They haven’t been very cooperative,” a police source told the New York Post. “So the investigation could take a while.” According to the Daily News, the NYPD suspects the incident was gang-related.
