The popular, awful cable-news coverage of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 continued apace today, with Fox News getting in on a little of that CNN action. "It took us 100 years to find the Titanic," offered host Bill Hemmer. (He was rounding way up.) "2,000 years to find Noah's Ark." (He was referring to the work of Evangelical Christian explorers, which even a Fox News column called a hoax.) "Do we ever find Flight 370?" he wondered.
"I think we find Flight 370 much sooner than those two things, thank God," replied aviation attorney Salvatore Lagonia, the improperly annointed "expert" for this particular thought experiment. "Until then, I think it’s the greatest reality show in the world."
