The NYPD is looking for a man who has started three small blazes at three churches over the past three days: On Saturday, he left a burning newspaper in the doorway of Brownsville’s Greater New Beginning Baptist Church. On Sunday, he tossed a flaming object through the window of Pitkin Avenue’s Iglesia Cristiana Church. And on Monday, he set more newspaper on fire at St. Mark’s Church in Crown Heights. So far, no one has been injured in the arson spree, which is being investigated as an anti-religious hate crime, but it would be good if they could catch this guy before he ends up melting a bunch of Easter chocolate.
