Temperamental actor Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York on Tuesday, In Touch first reported. Details are scarce so far, but it seems that he was busted for riding his bike in the wrong direction. The dedicated Baldwin-watchers at TMZ say that "one of the factors in the arrest was that Alec didn't have his ID on him."

One witness told In Touch that Baldwin was "calm and quiet" as police officers handcuffed him and loaded him into their car, though another person says that he "went ballistic on the cops" and "screamed" at them beforehand. The latter description sounds more like the Baldwin we know, but people sometimes change. In the meantime, congratulations to the Gay Department of Justice for finally infiltrating the NYPD.
