Earlier this week, Dennis Altamarino picked up a piece of Charles Street and used it to break into the nearby townhouse of a 75-year-old man he intended to rob, DNAinfo reports. It didn’t work out: The guy was home and confronted Altamarino as he attempted to climb through the broken window. The burglar fled, though he was later caught by the police after stealing a cell phone. You can still comfort yourself with the story every time you wish that you could trade in your ugly asphalt street for something with more character.
