NYPD Sergeant Stripped of Badge, Gun After Pushing Kid Into Window

The New York Daily News reports that 48th Precinct’s Sergeant Eliezer Pabon, who allegedly slammed a handcuffed 14-year-old into a hookah bar’s plate-glass window on May 17, was stripped of his badge and gun and has been placed on modified assignment. (Internal Affairs made the decision after reviewing a video of the incident.) The Bronx district attorney’s office is also considering filing criminal charges against Pabon. Meanwhile, victim Javier Payne was released from the hospital Thursday after undergoing emergency surgery to remove glass from his chest and lungs.
