Fox News Cuts Away From Obama Press Conference Because No One Asked About Benghazi

President Obama appeared with German Chancellor Angela Merkel outside the White House on Friday to warn Russia that "more-severe sanctions" could be in order if Putin and friends move to disrupt elections this month in Ukraine. Meanwhile, on Fox News: Fevered speculation about the cover-up conspiracy surrounding a year-and-a-half-old terrorist attack, which Republicans, now including John Boehner, continue to politicize while pretending it's patriotism.

"We were waiting for others to ask questions," said Harris Faulkner, the host of Fox's women-fronted afternoon show Outnumbered. "We know that the next question that's coming up is coming from a German reporter." (Who cares!) "We are not anticipating that that would be about the situation about Benghazi, which is breaking news since the president that has been talking, really, so if in fact somebody throws him a question on this topic we'll go back to that joint news conference." (As if.)

"We're going to move on here with what is breaking, because now the story is starting to take a new shape," she said of a story whose shape is already well known. "It's a Friday afternoon. News is happening." Fox News has you covered.
