Police say a Queens woman and her accomplice found a particularly despicable way to rob three stores in Bayside: They had the woman's 4-year-old daughter do the dirty work. Shannie Eastman, 39, and her friend Tisha Strong, 41, turned themselves in on Monday after the NYPD released surveillance photos that allegedly show the girl being directed to snatch purses, wallets, and $900 from a cash box over the past two months. Eastman and Strong have been charged with grand larceny, petit larceny, and failure to exercise control of a minor. The girl is now staying with family members and the Administration for Children's Services is investigating.
