EPA to Employees: No Pooping in Hallways

It’s unclear, based on what we know, if an employee at the regional EPA office in Denver actually pooped in a hallway, or if he or she pooped in a toilet and then brought the contents to the hallway. All we know, from an email obtained by Government Executive, is that earlier this year a manager at the office told employees that behavior such as “an individual placing feces in the hallway” is “very dangerous.” Believe it or not, the public-defecation angle might not be the silliest part of this story. Consider this: After the incident, management at the Denver office actually called in an expert on “workplace violence,” who told them that poop in hallways is in fact a bad idea.
