Video: Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Laughs With Friends After Boston Bombing

Earlier testimony in the trial of Azamat Tazhayakov, a friend of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, revealed that the Boston Marathon bombing suspect seemed totally normal after the attack, and now there’s video to prove it. On Wednesday, jurors were shown surveillance footage of Tsarnaev and Tazhayakov chatting and laughing as they went to the gym at UMass Dartmouth a day after the bombing. Prosecutors say Tazhayakov committed obstruction of justice and conspiracy by removing a backpack containing fireworks from his Tsarnaev’s dorm room. The defense argues that Tazhayakov never even touched the backpack, and is only guilty of being friends with Tsarnaev. “Aaron Hernandez spent a lot of time with Tom Brady, right? He did, right?” defense attorney Matthew Myers told reporters. “Do you think Aaron Hernandez ever had conversations with Tom Brady about what he was potentially doing?” The jury will get the case following closing arguments on Wednesday. If convicted, Tazhayakov faces 20 years in prison.
