A U.S. soldier turned a gun on herself in a possible suicide attempt Monday morning at Fort Lee army base in central Virginia. She was taken to the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, where her condition is unknown. There are no reports of other injuries.
The base's Combined Arms Support Command building went into lockdown after the shooting was reported earlier this morning. As of around 10 a.m., the post was given an all clear.
