Police in NYC Also Quite Forceful at Michael Brown Protest

By

Ferguson has come, in a small way, to Manhattan. Last night's demonstrations, which combined causes — Palestine, Eric Garner, Michael Brown — saw at least three arrests in the East Village, and one body slam. An unidentified man was taken down violently by multiple officers amid flashing lights and a chaotic scene. It was, of course, caught on video.

BuzzFeed reports, "Police officers were seen beating the man down to the ground and handling him forcefully as the crowd looked on." According to the Daily News, the individual was engaging in "tumultuous behavior"; he was charged with disorderly conduct and released.

You didn't think the NYPD was going to let officers in Missouri have all the fun, did you?
