Mitt Romney has been pretty insistent about not running in 2016, but it seems he's realized that being a "rumored presidential contender" is more fun than being a "former presidential contender." When pressed by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt today, the former Massachusetts governor admitted, "Circumstances can change, but I'm just not gonna let my head go there," adding, "I remember that great line from Dumb and Dumber ... 'so you're telling me I have a chance. One of a million!'"

Later, Romney described the scenario in which he might run: "Well, you know, let’s say all the guys that were running all came together and said, 'Hey, we’ve decided we can’t do it, you must do it. That’s the one of the million we’re thinking about."

Since 2012, Americans have developed a greater appreciation for Romney's dad humor and seemingly irrational fear of Russia, but it's still pretty obvious that he's not running. Nevertheless, Rand Paul will probably start peppering his speeches with quotes from The Mask in the coming weeks.
