The soldier who triggered an “active shooter alert” at Fort Lee army base in central Virginia this morning, has died after shooting herself in the head, according to the Associated Press. The unnamed woman locked herself in an army office and shot herself after failed negotiations with law-enforcement officials. No other injuries were reported.
