Mike Kushnir, 17, and a 15-year-old girl were arrested early on Thursday morning when police found them spattered with red paint next to the freshly vandalized Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil War Memorial Monument on Riverside Drive and West 89th Street. Police tell the Post that the teens scrawled tag names, doodles, and the phrase "in god we don't trust" on the monument before they were spotted by two officers. The cops say that as they approached, Kushnir tried to flee on his skateboard. This was all a lot more amusing when Bart Simpson did it.
