Mayor de Blasio revealed on Wednesday that he’s never checked out the High Line, though it seems like the kind of thing that would be right up his alley (if you weren’t aware that Mayor Bloomberg donated millions of dollars to the project). “I have not visited,” de Blasio told a reporter. “I am a fan of it. I think it’s done a lot of good for the city. But I haven’t visited.” The park opened in 2009, around the same time de Blasio became the city’s public advocate, but according to former rival Anthony Weiner, the mayor has no reason to visit. “Ok, so now we know he’s not a German tourist,” Weiner tweeted, adding when asked if he’s ever visited, “yep. how do you spell ’meh’?”
