UPenn Students Can Now Pay Money to Take a Class Called ‘Wasting Time on the Internet’

You already spend a significant chunk of your day wasting time on the internet, so why not pay thousands of dollars and earn college credit for it? The University of Pennsylvania is offering a new course next semester that is literally called “Wasting Time on the Internet,” where students will spend three hours every Wednesday Gchatting, tweeting selfies, and commenting on Daily Intelligencer. Then they have to somehow take all of that crap and turn it into a piece of “compelling and emotional [and navel gazey] work of literature.” Ivy League degrees seem totally worth it.
