New Song Mocks Israelis Over Vehicular Attacks

After several weeks of lone-wolf attacks on Israeli civilians, terrorist sympathizers posted a threatening, animated music video on a Facebook page thought to be affiliated with Hamas. In the video, a cartoon character who looks like a beat-up Jewish man sings about cars “going so fast to wipe out your soul.”

The video has received more than 200,000 views on the Shehab News Agency Facebook page. The central character in the video sports a kippah and a black eye while singing and strumming his guitar. Other Jewish men, including an IDF solider, are shown running from and then getting hit by cars. “A car is speeding around every corner to pick you up and drop you off at your grave,” the Hebrew-language lyrics go. “You made the choice, so bear the responsibility.”

A 3-month-old American citizen was killed in a vehicular attack last month, as were two other Israeli citizens.

Yet the deadliest terrorist attack in years took place just Tuesday, when two gunman entered a synagogue and killed four worshipers and one police officer, injuring at least five others. Among the five dead were three American citizens: Moshe Twersky, Aryeh Kupinsky, and Kalman Levine. Twersky was the grandson of two renowned rabbis: Joseph Ber Soloveitchik, considered the father of Modern Orthodox Judaism, and Meshullam Twersky, the Tolner rebbe of Boston.
