This rainy December Tuesday is set to be the day the world learns about post-9/11 CIA “enhanced interrogation techniques” and torture methods, information about which is expected to be released in a $50 million Senate Intelligence Committee report. According those with knowledge of the contents, the 480-page executive summary (a fraction of the whole thing’s 6,000 monstrous pages) will detail 20 of the committee’s investigative findings and look at 20 case studies, including the search for Osama bin Laden. The Obama administration has taken precautionary measures, like shoring up security around the globe, ahead of possible unrest following release of the report’s findings.
