Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney will have a private meeting in Utah this week that may determine whether one man drops out to avoid splitting the GOP Establishment or Rand Paul gets to be the 2016 nominee. Two “prominent party members” tell the New York Times that Bush requested the meeting weeks ago so he could pay his respects to the 2012 nominee, and it remained on their schedules even after Romney declared he would make a third run for the White House. Will they agree to let primary voters choose between them, or will Mitt challenge the Bush clan to a high-stakes version of the annual “Romney Olympics“? Whatever happens, we look forward to seeing the moment acted out in an HBO movie.
