Doctors have said that vision in Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid’s right eye, which was injured during an accident on New Year’s Day, may not fully return, he told the Washington Post in an interview. “This isn’t anything that’s a slam dunk. I had a serious injury in my eye, there’s blood accumulation there and they’re hoping it resolves itself,” he said, adding that doctors are “hopeful.” “As long as there’s blood in my eye, it’s hard to see.” Reid broke three ribs and several facial bones during the same accident. The Nevada politician also took the opportunity to describe his thrice-weekly routine, which includes 250 sit-ups, yoga, and resistance bands — one of which is responsible for sending him flying into some cabinets so early in the New Year.
