Hillary Clinton has a lot of time on her hands these days, so on Monday she stopped by the White House to say hello to her former employer. “President Obama and Secretary Clinton enjoy catching up in person when their schedules permit,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest explained. “This afternoon they met privately for about an hour at the White House and discussed a range of topics.” Later, while presenting the Toner Prize before a room full of journalists, she turned over a new leaf with the press. “I am all about new beginnings,” Clinton said. “A new grandchild, another new hair style, a new email account, why not a new relationship with the press? So here goes, no more secrecy, no more zone of privacy. After all, what good did that do me?” She’s not sure why reporters are so interested in a retired government employee, but from now on if they ask about her yoga routines and lunch dates with Chelsea, she’ll happily fill them in.
