Brooklyn Residents Pretend Building Is Haunted to Keep Their Rent From Going Up

The New York Post published a piece this morning claiming that 123 On the Park, a former hospital turned high-rise apartment building on the southeast side of Prospect Park, was so haunted it was driving away doormen afraid of the strange sounds and smells they kept encountering. In fact, as Gothamist reports, residents in neighboring buildings may simply be stoking the ghost rumors out of fear that the luxury development will drive up their own cost of living.
