When Sam Boulter, secretary of Honeybourne Railway Club in Worcestershire, walked into the club and saw a barrel of Caffreys Ale spilled on the floor, countless glasses smashed, straws flung here and there, and money scattered about, he assumed that the place had been burgled. Then he saw a squirrel “‘staggering around’ after coming out from behind a box of crisps,” according to the BBC. It appeared that the squirrel had sampled some beer after turning the Caffreys tap on. “I’ve never seen a drunk squirrel before,” Boulter said. “He was sozzled and looked a bit worse for wear, shall we say.” The secretary and two club patrons spent an hour chasing the rodent, who was eventually trapped under a trash can after making a dash for the men’s bathroom. He was then tossed out the bathroom window and has been barred from the premises
