NYPD Searching for 3 Suspects in Anti-Gay Attack

A weekend attack on a woman in Manhattan is being investigated as a hate crime. The incident took place at around 1 a.m. on Saturday as the 27-year-old and her mom were having dinner at BarKogi, a restaurant on Second Avenue and 51st Street. According to the NYPD, a man and two women seated nearby began cursing and shouting gay slurs at the victim before “[throwing] the woman to the ground and [dragging] her by the legs.” She was later treated at a hospital for cuts and bruises to her knees.

A surveillance camera captured images of the attackers (above) as they fled the scene. They’ve been described as “a white balding man in his mid-40s, about 5’8’ tall, weighing 180 pounds with a beard,” “a white woman in her mid-30s, about 5’7” tall, 130 pounds with dirty blonde hair,” and “a white woman in her mid-30s, about 5’7” tall, 120 pounds with long wavy black hair.” If you know a group of violent bigots who match that description and enjoy late-night Korean meals in midtown east, feel free to get in touch with the police.
