Rapper Kanye West might not be the only celebrity running for president in 2020.
Lindsay Lohan, known for her appearances in The Parent Trap, Mean Girls, rehab, and jail, suggested in an Instagram post on Friday that she, too, is weighing a bid for the nation’s highest office.
She soon followed up with some preliminary details of her policy platform, saying that the first thing she would like to do as president was “take care of all the suffering in the world,” which she apparently learned how to do from Queen Elizabeth, whom she has not met.
Lohan has, however, been living in London since last year and likes it so much that she has said she wants to become a British citizen and stay there forever. Doing so would render her ineligible for the American presidency, but that’s sort of beside the point since she will only be 34 in 2020 and not old enough to run for president anyway.
Also, Lindsay Lohan is not actually going to run for president.
LiLo’s political past is somewhat mottled: She offered to assist President Barack Obama’s election campaign in 2008 but was declined. In 2012, she endorsed Mitt Romney, then tweeted support for Obama a few weeks later.
There is no word yet on whether Lohan has formed an exploratory committee. Somewhat confusingly, her Instagram post also included the hashtag #kanyewest2020. Could this be laying the groundwork for a West/Lohan ticket?
