Ted Cruz Requests That Obama ‘Insult Me to My Face’

If you have something to say to Ted Cruz, say it to his face, and not at a press conference after a summit of world leaders that he will definitely hear about. Cruz shot back at President Obama, who had slammed some GOP presidential contenders after the G20 meeting — but did not name names — for their stance that the U.S. should only accept Syrian Christian refugees. Obama said those policies “were not American.”

Cruz fired back Wednesday: “If you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries, but I would encourage you, Mister President, come back and insult me to my face.”

It’s one thing to toss a cheap insult when no one can respond,” Cruz added in responding to the insult. Cruz proposed that he and President Obama settle this with a debate, because we certainly haven’t had enough of those.
