Speaking in front of a diverse crowd at an early-voting event in Memphis on Friday, former president Bill Clinton tried to make a “funny comment” about him being referred to as “just a stand-in for the first black president” by noting that, “You know what else we learned from the human genome? Unless your ancestors, every one of you, are 100 percent, 100 percent from sub-Saharan Africa, we are all mixed-race people”:
